Obituaries: MR. HAROLD ROSS

WEST UNION, Ohio -- Harold F. Ross, 81, of West Union, Ohio died Thursday,
April 23, 2009, at University of Cincinnati Hospital.
He was born March 23, 1928, in Hillsboro, Ohio.
Harold is survived by his wife, Geneva Ross; three sons, Ferrell Ross of West
Union, Rex (Angie) Ross of West Union and Jay (Noelle) Ross of Peebles, Ohio; a
daughter, Neita Nicely of West Union; three sisters including Ruth Cowgill of
Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
He was owner and operator of Ross Implement and Supply in West Union for 55
years and owner of Ross Reproductions. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean
Conflict; member of the American Legion Post 888; member of the John Deere
Collectors Center in Moline, Ill.; co-founder of the Ohio Two-Cylinder Club;
former president and board member of the Adams County Agricultural Society Inc.;
and lifetime honorary member of the Adams County Fair. He attended the First
Baptist Church of West. Union.
Funeral service 1 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Lafferty Funeral Home with
Pastor Jimmy Reagan and Rev. Volley Reed officiating.
Burial in West Union Cemetery in Tiffin Township. The Adams County Honor Guard
will perform a military service.
Visitation 5-9 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at Lafferty Funeral Home.
